The finest meat quality by the pallet

First-class meat from Uruguay, Paraguay, New Zealand and the USA is delivered fresh or deep-frozen to Hamburg in containers kept at a constant temperature. From there, we distribute it throughout Europe to wholesalers, butchers, restaurants, ship chandlers and food retailers. If you are interested, you can also contact us directly.

Meat from faraway countries

Every year, we import around 1500 tons of Argentinian beef as well as lamb from New Zealand, US beef from Nebraska, beef from Paraguay and Uruguay, fine poultry from France and goose parts from Poland. As one of Germany's leading meat importers, we work with first-class partners in the countries of origin worldwide.

Beef Argentina

Grass-fed
Argentina is known for its distinctive meat expertise. A country eleven times the size of Germany, with around 43 million inhabitants and around 52 million cattle. The pampas are home to the gauchos with their huge herds of Hereford and Angus cattle. Beef is traditionally one of Argentina's main exports. In addition to established retail brands, we also import our own brand from here. The close, friendly cooperation with the Argentinian partner company, which produces matti's PREMIUM according to our special specifications, ensures reliable top quality and constant product availability.

Feed: Gras
The mostly German-born Mennonites settled in Paraguay as early as 1930. Within the community of Fernheim in the province of Chaco, they began to farm and raise livestock. Over the years, the community of around 13,000 people has specialized in the production of milk and dairy products, peanuts, sesame and seeds. However, the main focus has always been on livestock farming and the production of beef. The animals are of the “Braford” and “Brangus” breeds. The beef cuts produced under the “Frigochaco” brand stand out clearly from the competition in terms of cut. The excellent price/performance ratio from the small community of Fernheim has established itself on the global market and is now in high demand among meat experts.

Grass-fed
Beef from Uruguay is lean and free from any additives. The Angus / Hereford cattle grow up slowly, with plenty of outdoor exercise and eat only grasses and mineral-rich plants. This diet is reflected in the pleasantly aromatic taste of the meat. We source both frozen and fresh beef of the best and consistent quality from our partners in Uruguay.

Grass-fed
Both the lambs and the cattle from “Silver Fern Farms” and “Wilson Hellaby” grow up on green pastures in the open air. Breeds that are known for their meat quality are deliberately used for meat production. Together with species-appropriate husbandry, this ensures the tender and unmistakable taste that has made New Zealand meat a favorite around the world. Our partners' production facilities are among the most modern in the country and guarantee first-class cuts and consistently high quality.

Grain-fed
In the Midwest of the USA, in the Corn Belt, agriculture dominates life. In addition to corn cultivation, Black Angus breeding plays a central role. The cattle graze on Nebraska's pastures for almost their entire lives until they are ready for slaughter after 24 months. A 150-200 day corn silage feed gives the meat its exceptional marbling. The result: butter-tender, nutty beef of the highest quality. The products of Greater Omaha Packers enjoy a legendary reputation worldwide.

Grass-fed
With Liffey Meats, we have a strong partner in Ireland, which is one of the most modern and progressive beef producers in the country. In the midst of the green pastures of Ireland, beef of outstanding quality is produced. The company has built up a network of over 12,000 certified farms. It breeds Angus, Limousin, Hereford and Charolais cattle. Liffey Meats guarantees complete traceability of its products.

France, the home of gourmet cuisine, appreciates fine fresh poultry. The Barbarie duck is one of the most popular breeds and impresses with its excellent meat quality and aromatic taste. They are reared for around three months, during which they are fed a purely plant-based diet. Males are significantly heavier than females. Our IFS-certified partner in France guarantees the highest quality.

We process high-quality pork and beef at our plant on Hamburg's wholesale meat market. Pork is particularly popular in Germany, especially because of its versatile preparation options. The animals are ready for slaughter at 6-8 months and 90-120 kg.

German heifer meat is a specialty: it comes from cattle that are a maximum of two years old and have not yet calved. Its fine marbling ensures a strong aroma and special tenderness.
